The Sussex Steam Engine Club was created in 1993 by a small group of locally based enthusiasts. Their belief that engine owners, operators and supporters would welcome the opportunity to promote their interest in steam preservation has been fully rewarded by the flourishing club.

Dial Post & SSEC Party
A small gathering was held over the weekend of 3rd and 4th of July. This event took place instead of the Dial Post Rally this year. A Road Run was held on the Saturday with just over 10 Engines taking part.

What do you think?
By now you should be getting the new 2011 membership cards (At least those of you who have renewed will be!)
You will have noticed that there is a new SSEC logo on them. This is a design by Nick Allen that is under consideration by the committee as a logo to use on a magnetic sign to go on members engines (Along the lines of the SODEM badge) This does not mean that we have dispensed with the existing logo depicting our president’s engine ‘Emma’ It could however be used in addition on headed notepaper or as an alternative on our clothing range. What do you think? Please let the honorary secretary or any committee member have your opinion. |
